UPDATED May 15, 2026: The Washington Chorus is now accepting pre-screen videos for the 26/27 season. The deadline to submit a video is Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at 11:59 PM (local time). Pre-screens are required for every voice part. For those who move on to the next step, live auditions will be held on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 18th, 2026
Saturday, October 10th, 2026
Tuesday, October 20th, 2026

Rehearsals
The Washington Chorus rehearses mostly year-round (typically September to June) on Monday evenings from 7:30-10pm (aside from some holidays) at National Presbyterian Church in Northwest DC. Location is accessible by Metro bus and rail. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled throughout the season. Two orchestral rehearsals are typically scheduled prior to each performance. Dues
Chorus dues are $175 per season, collected at the beginning of each season or upon entry into the chorus (dues prorated if auditioning mid-season). This helps to cover the cost of our rehearsal venues, pianist fees, and music purchases (most of which are yours to keep).
Participation
TWC members are expected to sing all concerts for which they are available. That being said, we know life is busy, and reasonably requested absences will be granted. In general, to be considered an ‘active’ singer, you must participate in 2 productions each season for which Artistic Director Eugene Rogers conducts. For example, in the 25/26 season, that includes: One Song:Exultávit!, A Candlelight Christmas, and Faith, Hope, and Light.
