TWC celebrates 65 years of making music with a profound performance of Nkeiru Okoye’s When the Caged Bird Sings, featuring an all-star cast, at DAR Constitution Hall.

Returning to Strathmore, TWC again partners with the National Philharmonic to present Mozart’s Requiem and the East-Coast premiere of Jocelyn Hagen’s What the Soul Already Knows.

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony

TWC again joins the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap for an all-Beethoven program, opening with the Handel-inspired overture to The Consecration of the House and his rarely performed Elegiac Song before concluding with Beethoven’s Ninth, the symphony by which all others are measured.

Adams’ On the Transmigration of Souls

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, Marin Alsop leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a program that opens what composer John Adams called a “memory space,” in his Pulitzer Prize-winning On the Transmigration of Souls.

Verdi's Requiem

Giuseppe Verdi’s monumental Requiem brings operatic intensity to a sacred text, channeling the full force of his dramatic imagination. Led by Music Director Jonathon Heyward, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra reveals how Verdi carried his romantic, theatrical voice beyond the opera house.
