Anthony Salvi-Exner

Mr. Anthony Salvi-Exner is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of leading and growing businesses. His expertise is in scaling development, operations and support functions as organizations grow. After 20 plus years running technology related companies, he has entered the non-profit arena with his role as the Executive Director at The Washington Chorus.

Mr. Salvi-Exner is an avid music lover with a diverse musical background in choral, instrumental, and musical theater music. He sings with many local choirs and is also a percussionist. He has previously sung with The Washington Chorus and was a board member until his appointment as Interim Executive Director in August 2022.

Professionally, Mr. Salvi-Exner brings 30 years of executive leadership experience working in a variety of organizations.  He has held several Chief Operating Officer positions including most recently at VMD Corp, a professional services company. Mr. Salvi-Exner has worked extensively in change management and preparing organizations for growth. His success has been in leading cultural change through organizational structure, leadership progression and communication.

Mr. Salvi-Exner is a graduate of the University of Buffalo (BS in Mechanical Engineering) and George Mason University School of Management (MBA).  He currently lives with his husband Peter in Fairfax and has five grown children and three grandchildren, all living in the DMV.
