Global Virtual Members

WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD: RAISE YOUR VOICE BY JOINING THE WASHINGTON CHORUS AS A GLOBAL VIRTUAL MEMBER

For choral singers across the globe, The Washington Chorus (TWC) has an invitation that’s hard to beat: it invites you to audition to join as a Global Virtual Member of TWC, D.C.’s only two-time Grammy Award-winning choral ensemble, led by Artistic Director Dr. Eugene Rogers.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary season, TWC recently announced a fall and winter season of digital programs, already receiving national acclaim for their innovation and commitment to inclusive excellence. The season, previewed here, includes a 60th Birthday Bash virtual gala (October 3, 2020), the world premiere of a new short film with virtual chorus by composer Damien Geter and filmmaker Bob Berg (November 14, 2020), and a newly re-imagined “Candlelight Christmas” concert (December 18-20, 2020).

All announced fall and winter of 2020 TWC programs include virtual choir elements, and singers from around the globe are now warmly invited to submit an audition recording for consideration by Dr. Rogers, who will personally review all audition submissions.

Click here to learn more about the audition submission process; the deadline is August 30 for the first project of the fall, but audition submissions will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis. The fee for participation is $175 for the 20/21 season, and earns selected singers the opportunity to attend rehearsals with Dr. Rogers, access the music being rehearsed and performed/recorded, and connection with a community of other outstanding singers from DC and across the world. English is the working language for all rehearsals.

TWC looks forward to receiving audition submissions from singers across the globe!
