Gisu Mohadjer Cook

Gisu Mohadjer Cook joined the Board of The Washington Chorus in 2024. She has sung soprano in the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum and in the a cappella chorus at the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois. She is excited to support The Washington Chorus, and to be part of an inclusive community where choral music connects, reflects, and inspires everyone.

Gisu worked at the World Bank for 35 years, in international development, finance, and policy, working at the regional, practice group, and corporate levels in several key senior and managerial positions. She has served on several nonprofit Boards, including the InterFaith Council of Metropolitan Washington.

Gisu holds advanced degrees from the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
