Robert Schroyer

Robert Schroyer is the Director of Production for The Washington Chorus (TWC), working closely with the Artistic Director to bring the organization’s musical projects to life. As Director of Production, Robert has contributed to notable initiatives including a DC-wide choral festival hosted at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, an international tour to Argentina, and a multimedia performance of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ at the Kennedy Center.

Additionally, Robert has helped produce programs and performances across the DMV region including the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, Music Center at Strathmore, National Presbyterian Church, the Smithsonian National History Museum, Capital One Center, and Live! at 10th and G. Robert first began with the Chorus in 2017 as the Patron Services Manager before joining as the Director of Production.

He previously served as the Manager of Operations for the New Orchestra of Washington, and also worked with the Yellowbarn Chamber Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute & Festival, and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. An active member of the DC arts community, Robert has served on the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Fellowship Grant Panel and adjudicated the DC Performing Arts Festival at the Kennedy Center.

Originally from Florida, Robert began his musical career as a percussionist, winning prizes with the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Alexandria Symphony, PASIC and ENKOR competitions, and has performed a guest artist for numerous festivals on 3 continents. Robert holds a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University, where he was awarded the Presser Scholar Award.
