What to Expect at The Washington Chorus's "A Candlelight Christmas" at The Music Center at Strathmore

The Washington Chorus invites you to join us for our upcoming performances of “A Candlelight Christmas,” one of the DC region’s most beloved family experiences!

You'll hear brass, organ, and The Washington Chorus’ dynamic 150-voice ensemble at this enchanting holiday experience that features cherished Christmas classics, caroling, and our signature Candlelight processional.

What is being performed at The Music Center at Strathmore

Highlights of the program include:

  • Cherished songs sung by The Washington Chorus at every Christmas concert such as "Dream Isaiah Saw"

  • A return of the family-favorite song and dance, "The Reindeer Jive!"

  • An original piece, "Room," composed by one of TWC's very own choristers!

  • A performance from Reservoir High School’s chamber choir

Yes! We paused the programs in response to COVID-19, but this year they’re back and better than ever!


Speaking of COVID-19, do I have to wear a mask?

No! You are welcome to do so if that is what makes you comfortable, but masks and proof of vaccination are not being requested by The Music Center at Strathmore.

The Washington Chorus will be performing unmasked and testing ahead of time to ensure the safety of our singers.

Do I need tickets?

Yes. Please ensure that you have a physical ticket in hand or digital ticket on your phone ready to present upon request. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and will call tickets can be picked up there as well.
