Kennedy Center Presents: Philip Glass's Koyaanisqatsi

  • Kennedy Center Concert Hall 2700 F Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20566 United States (map)

Film & Music with the Philip Glass Ensemble

Philip Glass's classic multimedia collaboration with experimental filmmaker Godfrey Reggio is a prescient mediation on the imbalance between humans and our environment--a cult cinematic tone poem that's resonating anew with audiences today. In the D.C. premiere of the film, the Philip Glass Ensemble makes its eagerly anticipated Kennedy Center debut, performing the score live.

This event is part of the Kennedy Center's annual new celebration DIRECT CURRENT--an immersive showcase for cutting-edge contemporary arts and culture with a focus on interdisciplinary creations.
